"Turtle Island Soundscapes - the Exhibit Experience”

A Native Skywatchers Immersive Installation. In Production now..

Sound is everywhere, unseen, and yet it connects us. Join us for a journey, led by stories told by sound. Be a part of the journey. Hear the unheard. See the unseen in the immersive exhibit, “Turtle Island Soundscapes”, opening in 2027 at the Silverwood Art Gallery in Mpls. Minnesota.

The nonprofit organization Native Skywatchers Inc. will create an Indigenous-led, sound-based moving-image art installation, “Turtle Island Soundscapes – the Exhibit Experience,” that will inspire visitors to experience the sounds of Minnesota waters, land, and sky through the perspective of non-human inhabitants, such as turtles, birds, bats, and frogs.

This project is supported by funding from the the Minnesota Humanites Center (MHC)
